Pre-Recorded Datasets
Pre-recorded datasets are volumetric video sequences that have been captured and saved to disk for later use. Unlike real-time streaming, these datasets allow for local playback, which is ideal for testing, demos, or scenarios where a live capture is not required.
The HoloCapturer can read recorded data in specific formats, such as RGB-D (color and depth images) or XYZ (color and position maps).
How to Play Local Datasets
To play a local volumetric dataset within a Unity application, the HoloMIT SDK provides the HoloRecording PlayBack system. This component manages the entire playback lifecycle, including decoding, audio synchronization, and playback controls (Play, Stop, Loop).
For a detailed guide on how to set up and use this system, refer to the complete documentation.
